Keystone Pipeline hearings set

Public hearings on a draft environmental impact statement for the proposed Keystone Pipeline are planned in St. Charles and Collinsville next week.
A Canadian company is proposing to build and operate a crude oil pipeline from Alberta to terminals in Wood River and Patoka, Ill. The project would include construction in the Missouri counties of Buchanan, Clinton, Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Randolph, Audrain, Montgomery, Lincoln and St. Charles, and the Illinois counties of Madison, Bond, Fayette, Marion and Clinton.
The St. Charles hearing is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Days Inn, 2781 Veterans Memorial Parkway.
The Collinsville meeting is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Marquette Room of the Gateway Center, 1 Gateway Drive.
